The Interdisciplinary Media Arts Practices (IMAP) area supports students enrolled in photography courses with state-of-the-art film processes facilities. These include the darkroom, with chemical baths and other equipment for developing film; a cutting room for cutting, trimming, mounting, and matting; a supply room staffed with helpful lab monitors’ and an alternative processes room allows students to explore experimental techniques and push the limits of film photography.
A professional lab technician manages the darkroom facilities and helps provide expert technical guidance to students enrolled in photography courses.
The film process facilities regularly host exhibitions of student work.
